Should Singers Lip-Synch?

At President Obama's inauguration in January, Beyonce' sang a thrilling version of the national anthem.  Or did she?  Beyonce' later admitted she had been lip-synching.  That's when performers sing over, or move their lips to a previously recorded song.  But Beyonce' isn't alone.  Justin Bieber and Britney Spears are among the other pop stars who have been rumored to lip-synch during concerts.  Many people say lip-synching is dishonest - especially when the audience is paying to see a live performance.  But others believe lip-synching lets people hear singers at their best, as they sound on their albums.  What do YOU think?

I think it's fine to lip sync as long as the recorded voice is the actual singer.

I don't think that singers should lip-synch during LIVE concerts. People want to go to concerts and listen to what their favorite band/ singer REALLY sounds like, not just like listening to them on the album that they probably already have... They might sound better on the album but who cares
? If you went to see your favorite band/ singer, wouldn't you be upset if you found out that they weren't REALLY singing themselves?

I think that if they pay good money and they want a live show they should be able to listen to their artist sing live for them.

I think that it should be ok to lip-synch because no one wants to hear bad singing. When singers sing live it is worse then on recording.

No, I don't think that Singers should lip-synch because that is not fair to the poeple that paid to go see a live performance. They should sound as best as they did on their albums when they perform to a live audience.

I think that singers should be able to lip-synch as long as its the singers voice we are listening to.

I think some singers should use lip-synch if they depend on autotune or something. If you modify your voice in a song and you go sing in a concert with no lip-synch then I think the whole song sounds completely different.

I think people shouldn't lip synch because people came to hear people sing not hear them sing something thats been previously recorded.

I think that singers should only lip-synch if they are sick, lost their voice, etc. so that their fans can see them at their best. If a "Singer" is lip-synching to a different persons voice and are really not good singers and getting paid to move their lips and not doing anything, then it is the wrong thing to do.

I think that singer shouldnt do that because if i was at a concernt i would wont to hear the singer voice to show that it is real not like ohh she voice isnt real but i think that she and who ever else lip synchs should just sing with there voice that is why they are singing know because of there voice and i think that people should hear there voice. That is what i think about that sitiuion...

i
think they should let her lip-synch because she is always moving and doing all this hard work and dancing it will be hard for her to do all thoes things at ones

Jessica Trejo said...

while i think that its okay to let singers lip-synching because if the move around and dance in concerts they won't able to sing good so thats why its okay to lip-sing.

I think singers shouldn't lip-synch because if other people know that they do that their image might get messed up.

im not a singer but if a singer had the choice to lip synch well theyll do it because 1.they have a fever and dont want to dissapoint the fans or 2.problaby they are too nerves to sing. like the fact that beyoce liped synched because she was problaby to nerves to sing in front of the president of the united STATES no one knows but if they would make a decisionlike that they would problaby take it

I don't think singers should be able to lip-synch because nobody wants to pay a whole bunch of money to see there favorite singer lip-synch when they could just listen to there music at home.

i think singers should not lip-synch because so times people are watching you on T.V and they don't want to see some fake singing and fake singers. another reason why is because it hides singers real voices

I think singers should lip-synch because if you were a singer, you would probliy get tired of singing ALL THE TIME! so you would half to lip-synch or have a lot of water bottles because you would get a dry throat really fast.
