Starting this year, a school district in New Jersey no longer lets teachers assing written homework over weekends and holidays. School officials want students to have enough time to spend with their families and take part in other activities. Others say it's a bad idea for kids to close their books on the weekends. They argue that kids need the weekend to practice what they learned in class, and parents have more time to help kids on weekends. What do you think?

Kids shouldnt do homework in the weekends. Why? Because Some kids need a break from doing homework! :D
I think kids should not have homework on weekends because it's not fair for kids to have homework. It means that kids have school everyday. Reading is enough.
Why would you need extra homework if you do it 5 times a week(Some schools)?And plus you already learn at school, so there's really no point in it. Besides, on the weekends are the only time you can actually rest and have fun. So...... NO
I think that kids should not have homework on weekends because kids might want to spend time with their families.
They should not because the weekends are the only time when you hang out with your family. If you have homework everyday then you should live at school!

Kids shouldn`t have homework on the weekends! Weekends are the one short time we have to relax or spend time with family, and teachers shouldn`t spoil that fun with homework.
Yes, i agree that student should not have to have weekend homework. If we have to do homework on the weekends and on holidays, we won't have time to spend with our families. Another reason is homework is VERY VERY VERY boring, and students don't want to spend their holidays and weekends doing boring homework. Finallly, some students might not have time to do extra homework beacause they have extra activities to do, like piano, dance, etc.
I think students should get some homework over the weekend so they can study for tests and review difficult subjects.
I think that schools don't need to assin weekend homwork. Why? Well, many students would want to just relax during the weekends. Some might want to spend time with their families. Others might think too much home work is boring and not fun.

I think we should not have homework on the weekends because we need to spend more time with our families. And holidays come by and Christmas on the weekend so we need to spend more time with our family instead of study and study and study every single day. Maybe some people think it's a good idea to have more homework on the weekends but I don't. And we already have reading on the weekend so that's enough.
